The minimum basic requirement which you need in order to become compliant on Lantum is three document uploads, and two checks carried out by the Lantum Clinical Governance team if you are registered under a governing body. It is extremely important that you upload the correct documents, as without these you will not be able to book jobs through the platform.
All documents must be colour scans, crystal clear and with no area cut off the picture. A clear, legible smart-phone photograph of the original document is also fine.
The databases which we check:
- GMC history and GP Register registration
- National Performer's List status (must be listed as 'registered GP with a license')
Nurse, ANP, Treatment Room Nurse:
- NMC Register
MSK, UCP, Emergency Care Practitioner, Physiotherapist:
Before you upload your documents, have a look at the individual guide for each of these, which contain examples and specific instructions on what you need.
We also highly recommend that GPs upload their indemnity certificate showing the level of cover taken out.
Although you will be covered for locum work under the new Clinical Negligence scheme for General Practice, some practices will still require to see your indemnity certificate as a mandatory document required to work there.
To start uploading documents, log into your account and click the 'upload documents' button on your profile.
On your Documents page, you'll see a list of documents that you need to get approved and further documents you can upload to enhance your profile.
Next to the names of the document, click 'upload' then upload the appropriate document by either dragging and dropping from your folder or upload from your computer.
Once you've uploaded your documents, the Clinical Governance team will either approve or reject them. You will receive email updates on your documents. If they're rejected, the email will state the reason why.
Your documents will be checked within 24 hours, Monday to Friday.
When all three of your core documents have been approved, the Clinical Governance team will check any governing body you are registered on. If this is clear, your profile will be approved and you will receive an email immediately. You can then start applying for sessions instantly.
Top tips for your profile
We also recommend uploading further documents as we find that users get booked into sessions quicker with the following documents:
- A photo of yourself
- Basic Life Support or Advanced Life Support certificate
- Safeguarding Children Level 3 certificate
- Safeguarding Adults Level 2 certificate
- Immunisation history
- Data Security Awareness
You can upload them by clicking 'upload documents' and you'll see these fields under the core three documents.
When you apply for a session, the Practice Manager will be able to view your profile. We recommend adding information about yourself and your interests so the Practice Manager can find out more about you.
Here you can add in the IT systems you are fluent using, further qualifications and your spoken languages.
