This page explains why we perform Right to Work checks and what we need from you to get these done as quickly as possible. Please read the full guide. Our contact details are at the bottom of the page if you have questions.
Why do we perform Right to Work checks?
How do we perform the check?
- A clear colour photo of your passport, showing all 4 corners of the ID page
- Your share code, for example: W12 345 67G
- If you're not sure what your 'share code' is, you can find this out here.*
- Alternatively, if you are struggling to locate your code you can contact the Home Office directly on 020 7035 4848.
* Please note that due to changes that the Home Office implemented in April 2022, non-UK/Irish passport holders will have to provide a share code. Those results will be taken as the right the work status for an individual and not what is stated, for example: on a biometric residence permit (BRP). Any such resident permits issued by the Home Office have now expired, 31/12/2024 so they are no longer accepted.
As taken from the Home Office website (click here for the link):
"You can no longer accept biometric residence cards or permits. Ask the applicant for a share code instead."
If you are currently in the process of becoming a UK citizen and have a Certificate of naturalisation, please email clinical.governance@lantum.com
After the Right to Work check is performed
We will upload your passport and the results of the Home Office right to work check alongside any valid document(s) you hold to your Lantum account on your behalf.
Providing the other core governance requirements are correct and you are on the GMC GP Register and NPL, we will be able to approve your account so you can apply for sessions.
