Set unavailable days with My Diary
By updating your availability, you’ll ensure that;
- You only see sessions/shifts on the days that you’re interested in/free to work.
- Healthcare providers you have relationships with will know when they can request you for, or (if they have permission) assign you into sessions/shifts.
Please note, by making yourself unavailable you will not see shifts for these days on the 'Find Work' page.
Step 1 - Click onto ‘My Diary’
Step 2 - Setting your availability
By default, your Lantum calendar assumes you are available/interested to work every day. To customise this to reflect your actual availability, click on the ‘Set unavailable days’ button.
Step 3 - Selecting your availability
Selecting individual days
Once in availability mode, select specific days when you are unavailable by clicking on the days of the month in the calendar. The day will then be highlighted red to confirm you choice.
To clear your selection, just click the red cross on the day you want to make available again.
Selecting regular days
If you won’t be available on certain days of the week, you can set them all as unavailable for the current month by clicking on the corresponding toggle buttons at the top of the calendar. For example, click on ‘Wed’ and all Wednesdays that month will be set as unavailable.
Blocking out whole months
To set an entire month as unavailable, toggle on the ‘I’m not looking for work this month’ option. All the days that month will now be highlighted red to confirm you aren’t available.
*Tip - if you have very limited availability in any given month, block out the whole month using this feature then deselect the individual days when you are available.
Repeat for future months
You can set your availability as far in advance as you like. Ideally, try to set at least 3 months ahead. You can come back to edit your availability on Lantum at any point if your personal/professional diary or commitments change.
Step 4 - Saving your preferences
Once you’ve finished updating your availability, click the save button to lock in your preferences.
If you try to close availability mode without saving, you’ll be prompted to continue editing, or discard your changes.
