Getting started with Lantum Swaps
Welcome to Lantum Swaps, which is now included in your rota. Using it alongside your rota makes shift swapping simpler, to make your life as a junior doctor easier.

Use this handy, step-by-step guide to navigate Swaps.
Create a swap request
Select 'Swaps' in the bottom navigation menu and select 'Create Swap'
Select the reason for your swap from the dropdown menu. You have the option to provide more details, or you can leave this section blank.
Once complete, select 'Let's Go'
Select the shift you want to swap on your rota. Once you have chosen your shift, tap the 'Next Step' button
Have specific colleagues you’d like to invite? Select them from the list
If not, you can skip this step and the swap will be available to all colleagues on your rota
Just like that, your swap request has been created, ready for someone to make an offer!
Make an offer on a swap request
If you see an available shift you’d like to work, and have a shift to swap in return, head to the 'Available' tab at the top of the screen
Select the shift you would like to make an offer for. Any shifts you have been specifically invited to will be flagged with 'Invited' in red
To make an offer, tap the 'Add a shift' button
Select the shift you would like to swap on the calendar, then tap the 'Add shift to offer' button once you are happy with your choice
Once you are happy with your selection, select 'Send 1 shift offer'
This will send the offer to the clinician who made the swap request
You have the option to add another shift to your offer at this step if you wish
Accept a swap
To see any offers, go to the 'Requested' tab and select the shift offer you would like to review
In this screen you can see all your swap offers. Choose the offer you would like to accept and select 'Next Step'
To confirm your swap, select 'Accept offer and notify rota manager'
This will send the request to your rota manager
As an optional step: add a note to the rota manager to let them know why you need to swap
You will see a screen confirming that a swap request has been sent
Go to the dashboard to keep track of all your swap requests. This section will automatically update when your rota manager makes a decision.
