Each week within a work pattern can be customised, DRS provides controls over entire weeks within the work pattern, not just day-by day, duty by duty.
- Click on the Payment Tab across the top of the screen
- This will present the following screen
- See below a description for each arrangement for pay hours:
Hours
Average Hours - The total number of hours within the work pattern, divided by the number of weeks within the Work Pattern
Weekly Additional - The total number of hours within the work pattern over and above the contracted hours set out in terms and conditions of the contract.
Weekly Night - The total number of hours which equate to "Night Rate Hours" within the work pattern divided by the number of of weeks within the work pattern. (Terms & Conditions of service for NHS Doctors & Dentists in Training (England) 2016 for description of "Night Rate Hours")
Availability Allowance - Staff working on an On-Call Work Pattern, shall be paid an on-call availability allowance. The value of the allowance is based on 8% of a full-time basic salary for the relevant Grade.
With Leave Adjustment
When calculating the average hours, the number of days' leave ( including; annual leave, public holidays, and relevant study leave where prospective cover is in operation) that would be taken by a Doctor, on average, across the length of the rota cycle will be deducted from the rota and the remaining hours will be divided by the remaining weeks in the rota cycle. For example, in an eight-week cycle with six days' leave deducted, the total remaining hours would divided by 6.8 weeks.
CRS provides this calculation automatically by utilizing the Leave Entitlement figure within each Work Pattern.
With Adjustment/Rounding
CRS will use the above figure(s) and round this figure UP to the next 15 minutes.
