From 31st August 2019, the Rlocums site will no longer be available for work and all users will be transferred to the Lantum site. RLocums users will benefit from access to the new and improved platform and tools.
We aim to make this process as simple and transparent as possible and have a dedicated team to support the setting up of profiles, the transfer of existing and future work and support for how to use the new platform.
We will be updating this FAQ page regularly as we continue to receive queries. Please refer here to stay informed and remember that you can reach out to our support team at lantum@rlocums.com at any time.
Why is the merger happening?
Lantum is an innovative platform with improved functionality and tools compared to RLocums and the support of a dedicated tech team to keep it updated. By using Lantum, RLocums users will benefit from access to the new platform and our dedicated team will help you transition from Rlocums to Lantum.
What are the important dates for the RLocums merger?
10th June Announcement of the upcoming merger
1st July Practices begin posting work onto Lantum for July, August, September, and onward.
31st August The final date for booking or scheduling any work on RLocums.
31st October The date at which the Rlocums site will no longer be available for accessing invoicing of work up until 31st August*.
*Don’t worry though - On request, we can create a report to show all your historic records for your information and for your tax records. Once RLocums is closed to users entirely, you will still be able to get in touch and request any historical data you may need.
Setting up your account
How do I set up a Lantum account?
You can set up your account easily, for free, by clicking and filling out your account details here or you can contact our team on lantum@rlocums.com and we’d be happy to set up your account for you.
Can you transfer over my documents from RLocums?
Lantum has a dedicated clinical governance team that will transfer all of your documents from RLocums. In order to move over your documents, we need your verbal or written consent. If they are expired or if we need a clearer image of the document, the Lantum team will let you know.
Can practices still post work on RLocums that will occur after the 31st of August?
No, practices can no longer post any new sessions on RLocums that will occur past the 31st of August.
Some practices have begun posting sessions on Lantum from July, but all practices will be posting sessions from September onwards.
What will happen with my sessions after the 31st of August?
Any work currently posted on RLocums for sessions after the 31st August will be moved over to Lantum.
We will ensure that your take home rate is identical.
Can someone teach me how to use Lantum?
If you have a Lantum account or are looking to create an account, our team are more than happy to show you around the Lantum site over the phone.
How Lantum works
How do the fees work on Lantum?
Lantum is free for GPs, the fee will be charged to practices. The practice will pay the same fee that has been standard for RLocums.
Can I set my own rate?
On Lantum, the rate is set by the practice, however we do have a negotiate feature, which means you can negotiate both the rate and time. It’s Lantum’s way of allowing both practices and GPs to have a say in the rate. If you have a special relationship with a practice, we can speak with them about setting up a private rate, just contact us at support@lantum.com or lantum@rlocums.com
How long will it take to get paid on Lantum?
On Lantum, the average time to pay per practice is shown before applying for sessions. If your payment from a practice becomes overdue, Lantum sends automatic email chasers to practices. Additionally, we have an in-house credit control team who can chase this for you.
Can I edit my timesheets after I work a session?
If you agree to work additional hours with a practice, you can submit a timesheet with the extra charges when invoicing your session. The practice is notified by email of these changes and once accepted you can finalise your invoice and submit it for payment.
What is Rocketpay?
Rocketpay is Lantum's next day payment service, where Lantum pays your invoices the next business day so you don't have to wait for a practice to pay us. Rocketpay comes at a 1.5% fee, and is completely optional for users.
All GPs who have moved over from RLocums will have Rocketpay for free (no need to pay a fee) until 30th November as a welcome gift from Lantum and will be automatically removed afterwards so they will not be charged. Read more here.
Accessing RLocums
How will I access my tax and job summary information when the site closes down?
We can create a report upon request to show all historic records you may require. There isn't the facility to port that information over to Lantum, but once RLocums is closed to users entirely, you will still be able to get in touch and request any historical data you may need.
How will I invoice for my sessions work between now and the 31st of August?
The site will remain open until October to ensure all work completed before August 31st can be processed and paid.
