On August 9th 2016 we were happy to announce that Lantum (formerly Network Locum) acquired RLocums. We asked for your questions and we have answered these below. Please do get in touch if you have any other queries.
Will you be building product features from RLocums, such as the GP calendar view, into a merged platform?
We are excited to announce that we will be working towards a single integrated, improved platform in the future. Our key focus is ensuring that GPs and Practices using either platform are happy, this includes understanding the best features of both and looking to incorporate these. If there are specific features that you like please let us know, we would love to hear your feedback.
Will you be extending the service to other grades of healthcare professional?
We are committed to provide the best platform possible for GPs and Primary Care providers. Therefore, we have no plans currently to extend to other grades.
Will there be changes to the rates for GPs?
We will continue running Lantum and RLocums separately, therefore there will not be any changes in the immediate future nor do we anticipate rates will be impacted by the acquisition.
Will Lantum start charging GPs or RLocums start charging Practices?
Currently we will continue operating both companies independently. When we have worked out the best way to integrate both models we’ll be sure to communicate any changes clearly (and ask for feedback, lots of feedback).
What happens if I use both Lantum and RLocums?
Nothing, you can continue to use both platforms as you currently do. When - after working with users of both platforms - we have figured out the best way to integrate both models, we will communicate this clearly to all users.
I have Clinical Governance documentation on Lantum, can you transfer this over to RLocums?
Lantum and RLocums will continue to run independently until we understand the best new model and a way of integrating the users, therefore we will not be transferring information between websites.
I am owed money by a Practice on RLocums, can you chase this up for me?
RLocums has a dedicated team to chase your invoices, please email email@example.com and they’ll chase your invoices for you.
