1. "I need extra documents from a GP in order to confirm their sessions."
If you require additional documents from GPs, you can state this in the information section of your practice profile. The type of work a GP usually undertakes will generally dictate the number of additional documents they have. For example, gold standard GPs will have all possible documents uploaded, GPs who usually work OOH/UCC sessions will have more documents uploaded than the usual 6, as OOH providers usually require a variety of docs.
If a GP applies for a session without the required documents then you can advise them to upload those documents by going to their profile.
2. "Every GP that works in my practice needs X, Y, Z updated annually."
When required, you can advise your GPs that they should sign up to the various update services on offer. The DBS offers an annual update service for a small fee (£13) and this can be found here.
You can also advise GPs that they need to ensure their medical indemnity is in date and current. All indemnity certificates have validity dates on them and will usually provide cover for either a year or 3 years. If they are only covered for a year, you can advise them to contact their indemnity provider (usually MDU/MDDU/MPS).
Safeguarding Children Level 3 usually lasts for 3 years. Basic or level 2 will usually last for only one year. If they only have a basic certificate then they will need to attend another course. If you require Safeguarding Children and a GP books into a session without it or with outdated cover, you can advise the GP that they will need to attend a course before they can work the session.
3. "Can I have a safeguarding adults certificate level 3 updated yearly."
Adult safeguarding can be accepted from up to 3 years previous to today's date. This is because if a GP has had an annual appraisal, they are meant to show they are keeping up to date with all their updates then. Therefore passing an appraisal should mean they have demonstrated this.
